Princess Oyefusi

Princess Abiodun Islamiyat Oyefusi, a Lagos 2027 gubernatorial aspirant, holds the line on law and order in an interview with the press, she revealed her stance against corruption, even by close associates.

As Chairperson of SoulLifters Foundation, she spearheads humanitarian services across Lagos State, gaining public admiration through free monthly community medical care, eyecare, and mental health outreaches in various Lagos communities.

Her international NGO is also known for supporting the homeless, elderly, single parents, orphans, and other vulnerable people with free food through its Community Food Bank.

When asked about her utmost desire, she described a Lagos where hard work is rewarded, movement is easy, and government serves the people.

She said, "My greatest desire is for good governance in Lagos, a Lagos where hard work is rewarded, movement is easy, security is guaranteed, and government serves the people—not the other way around."

The humanitarian Princess further revealed some of her plans for Lagosians if allowed to be their Governor.

"I will prioritize fixing Lagos State's institutions to ensure citizens have access to efficient, seamless services, jointly with transportation and traffic management through an integrated rail, bus, and waterway system because mobility directly affects jobs, cost of living, and quality of life," she said.

Princess Oyefusi credits her parents for her cultural upbringing and smooth relationship with elders in the land. When asked how she relates with traditional leaders.

She said, "I value the wisdom and community influence of our traditional leaders, especially in ensuring governance remains transparent and law-driven. Being a Royal Princess of Ikorodu Kingdom, I was brought up with an understanding and appreciation of culture and traditions, as well as what it means to be a steward of the people."

The former senatorial candidate revealed her choice if ever caught between upholding the law and protecting corrupt associates.

"There will be no protection or excuses—justice will be served, stolen resources recovered, and the law allowed to take its full course. Law and Order must be rebuilt into our consciousness and society because where the law ends, tyranny begins, and a nation whose laws sanction and do not control criminality among its citizens is a country whose hope is lost."

She added, "When leaders cut corners, society pays the price in the long run. I have come with practical solutions, disciplined leadership, and a government that listens, plans, and delivers.

If I ever find myself in a dilemma where my people are occupying land marked for a highway on government documents, I will engage them, provide alternatives and timelines, and relocate them humanely—development must never destroy livelihoods without solutions."
