African Cleanup Initiative

African Cleanup Initiative, in partnership with CSR-in-Action, invites women from across Nigeria to attend the Women SDG Advocates Conference 2026. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in Victoria Island, Lagos.

In recognition of the critical contributions women make toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—as well as the challenges they face in accessing platforms for collaboration, resources, visibility, and shared leadership—the organizers have introduced the theme, “Give to Gain: Empowering Women Through Shared Action.” This theme underscores the strength of collective effort, where shared contributions result in stronger outcomes, amplified voices, and measurable impact for women and their communities.

Held in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, the conference is designed to serve as a catalyst for collaboration, partnerships, and scalable, solution-driven initiatives. It is convened by the African Cleanup Initiative and CSR-in-Action Group through women-focused sustainability advocates dedicated to advancing the SDGs through inclusive leadership, cooperation, and purposeful action.

The Women SDG Advocates Conference 2026 is structured as a strategic gathering that will bring together women leaders, advocates, professionals, entrepreneurs, civil society actors, development practitioners, and corporate stakeholders who are committed to sustainable development.

The program is expected to host more than 500 women leaders, creating opportunities to spark collective action, strengthen strategic alliances, and promote scalable solutions. Participation will be available in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance.

The Women SDG Advocates Conference 2026

Key objectives of the conference include strengthening a nationwide network of women SDG advocates through collaboration and shared leadership; providing a platform for women to showcase innovative SDG-driven solutions; facilitating cross-sector partnerships among women-led initiatives, corporate organizations, development partners, and policymakers; and equipping participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to expand impact and access new opportunities. Attendance is restricted to women, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for engagement and dialogue.

Participants will include women-led NGOs, social enterprises, and community-based organizations; SDG advocates and champions; corporate sustainability and ESG professionals; development partners and donor agencies; policy influencers and public sector representatives; as well as members of the media, researchers, and thought leaders.

The conference also presents a valuable opportunity for partners and sponsors to align with gender equality, sustainability, and social impact. Prospective partners include corporate organizations with sustainability, ESG, or CSR priorities; development agencies and donor bodies; financial institutions and impact investors; technology and innovation companies; and media organizations.

The conveners invite partners and sponsors to collaborate in empowering women through shared action and accelerating progress toward the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.
