Social media influencer Dami Foreign has publicly apologised to Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage after facing widespread backlash over comments he made about the singer’s son.

The incident began when Dami shared a video of Tiwa Savage with her child and added a caption questioning the boy’s expression. The post quickly drew criticism from social media users who accused the influencer of crossing a line.

Tiwa Savage responded directly to the post on X, issuing a stern warning and urging Dami to refrain from mentioning her child again. She made it clear that any further reference would escalate the matter beyond social media.

Within hours of the exchange, Dami Foreign addressed the controversy, acknowledging the singer’s reaction and conceding that she had every right to feel upset.

He stressed that his comments were never meant to cause harm and expressed regret over the distress and public outrage his post had generated.

In a written apology shared online, Dami reassured Tiwa Savage that he harboured no ill intentions toward her or her son, noting that he had previously shared several positive messages about the singer that may have gone unnoticed.
