BTS is preparing for a major return, with plans that extend far beyond a single album release. The group’s upcoming record is expected to be rolled out over an extended period, with promotions likely continuing into next year ahead of an ambitious global tour.

Following the completion of all seven members’ mandatory military service, BTS officially reunited in June and spent several months in Los Angeles reconnecting and working on new music. Collaborating with award-winning producers and songwriters, the group is now aiming for a full-scale comeback album scheduled for release in spring 2026.

According to recent reports, BTS is expected to embark on a massive world tour shortly after the album drops, with performances planned from May through December 2026. The tour is projected to be one of the group’s most expansive to date, spanning multiple continents and major cities.

A September 30 report by Finance News cited Kim Hyun Young, a researcher at Hyundai Motor Securities, who estimated that the tour could include around 65 shows and draw an audience of approximately four million fans worldwide. Each concert is expected to host more than 60,000 attendees on average.

The report also noted that the tour could significantly boost the group’s financial performance, with operating profits projected to reach the 100 billion KRW range starting in the second quarter of 2026, coinciding with the launch of the tour.

Ahead of their return to the stage, BTS is set to host a two-week global event from September 24 to October 5. During this period, four of the group’s concert films will be screened across 2,500 theaters in 65 countries.

To keep fans engaged, pop-up store events are also planned in numerous cities worldwide, building momentum leading up to the world tour next year.

At present, the members are back in South Korea focusing on recording and production, with reports suggesting the album’s overall concept has already been finalized. Some members are also balancing international travel for brand-related schedules, including appearances at Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.
